Hi, I'm Sara Orlova and I am a psychotherapist with extensive experience working with children, families, and couples. My specialty areas include anxiety, ADHD and relationship issues. As a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist, I am dedicated to providing my clients with a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their concerns and develop strategies to overcome them. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, ADHD, or issues in your relationship, I am here to help.
I approach each client with an open mind and a non-judgmental attitude. I believe that everyone deserves to feel accepted and valued for who they are, and I work hard to create a safe space where clients can feel free to be themselves.
I recognize that each client is unique, and I am committed to adapting my approach to fit their individual needs. I am willing to try different techniques and modalities to find the most effective solutions for each person's unique circumstances.
I believe that empathy is essential in establishing a strong therapeutic connection with my clients. By practicing empathy and putting myself in their shoes, I am able to better understand their experiences and offer more effective support.
I believe that integrity is the foundation of any strong therapeutic relationship. I strive to be honest, accountable, and reliable in my work, and I take responsibility for my actions and decisions.
I am naturally curious about my clients and their experiences. By asking thoughtful questions and showing a genuine interest in their lives, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of their unique challenges and tailor my approach to better meet their needs.
My main objective is to help clients achieve mental and emotional well-being
The first step when working with a new client is to conduct an initial consultation. During this session, I will listen to the client’s concerns, understand their needs and assess if I am the right therapist to help them. I'll also explain the treatment methods and offer advice on what sort of therapy will be most suitable to the individual.
After the initial consultation, I will develop a treatment plan tailored to the individual's needs. The plan will consider the client's concerns and therapy preferences and offered with the purpose of helping the client achieve their specific goals.
As the therapy progresses, I will track the client’s progress, listen to their feedback, and make adjustments to the treatment plan where necessary. It is crucial to ensure that the therapy is effective and meeting your needs.
Therapy will typically take place in one-on-one sessions in my office. The sessions can last up to 50 minutes, and the number of sessions will depend on the clients needs. I will use various techniques, such as talk therapy, art therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or humanistic counseling, depending on what the client prefers.
Once the client has achieved their therapy goals, I will work with the individual on closing the therapy sessions. We will work together to create an exit plan that ensures that your progress and mental well-being will be maintained even after the therapy ends.
As a therapist, I completed my formal education and training in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling, and I remain committed to constantly improving my skills and knowledge in the field. After completing my education, I understand that the learning process shouldn't stop. To grow as a therapist, I attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay current with the latest techniques and strategies in the field. I also read books and research studies to deepen my understanding of specific conditions or approaches to treatment. Another way I improve my skills as a therapist is through clinical supervision. I meet with a more experienced professional to discuss my cases, and they provide feedback and recommendations for how I can improve my counseling approach. Not only does this help me become a better therapist, but it also helps ensure that my clients receive the best possible care.
